Intro

I've been working for more than 10 years in different SAP Netweaver areas in the role of developer, team lead, specialist and architect.

I've always been eager to learn new things and challenge myself. I started my career as a junior SAP Developer in a team of 50 SAP Technical Experts and wanted to match their skills. I quickly took full accountability for the solutions I developped and learned a lot about Software Architecture. I wanted to share this experience and way of working with others, and became Technical Team Leader, managing the way we should as a team aim for a solution. I realized that I enjoyed much more working as a team than on my own, and I became accountable for the planning, capacities and deliveries of the team.

I managed the SAP Development department of the Belgian Railway IT Company and shared my vision and strategy about how a development team should be, aiming for excellence and be innovative while delivering the highest code quality. My style is to manage by empowerment.

I like to be involved in strategical decisions within a company. I’m reading a lot about IT technologies, methodologies, way of working and I’m really good at structuring work, find the best synergies within a team but also cross teams, putting people together not only to deliver the best software but also the best product.

The focus has always been on newer technologies within the netweaver stack and more specifically on web related projects.
Having profound knowledge of both traditional SAP skills (ABAP, workflow, Idocs, ...) and more recent areas of SAP expertise (SOA & web services, Web dynpro ABAP, oData, S4/HANA, SAPUI5, Fiori ...). I've a deep technical insight in complex and heterogenous SAP landscapes.

IT has always been a passion to me, check out my work.
